Download YouTube videos as MP4
An MP4 file plays almost everywhere: phones, tablets, laptops and smart TVs. Save a video before a trip so you can watch it without a connection, or keep a copy of a video you uploaded yourself.
Choose the quality that suits your screen and your storage. Lower qualities take less space on your phone, while 1080p gives the sharpest picture on a big display.

YouTube to MP4: questions
What is the highest quality I can download?
The highest quality is 1080p Full HD, when the video offers it. You can also choose 720p, 480p, 360p, 240p or 144p.
Can I download long videos?
Yes. There is no file size limit. Long videos in 1080p make big files, so check the size shown next to each quality.
Can I save Shorts as MP4?
Yes. Paste the Shorts link and pick a quality in the Video tab, just like a normal video.
Which quality is best for my phone?
720p looks sharp on most phones and keeps the file a reasonable size. Pick 480p if you want to save space.
Can I download a whole playlist?
No. Each link gives you one video. If the link comes from a playlist, only that video is saved.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything works in your browser, on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac.
